FAREWELL MY FRIENDS
Today you honour us with your presence
This most celebrated event of my life
I will remain unto you eternally grateful.
Today we are what we are now

A result of your kind and caring hearts
Each has expressed your opinions
Thou different words - similar sentences.
You have demonstrated by action
Regardless of positionor the balance in one's bank book
We all need to be shown kindness
And treated with respect.

You have clearly indicated your opinion
Success does not merely depend on title
Instead the road each had to travel
Luck has truly been very good to us
We stand this side of the counter.

We've been there for one another
A family not of our own choosing
But through a mutual employer
Sharing our greatest joys
During our saddest moments
Words not always passing lips
Yet in silence understood.

How very good it feel to give.
God has richly blessed us
With your presence in our life
You have made us a better person
Partner, friend, best friend too

Now Rest your head and close your eyes
everything will be okay
for when you wake with the sweet sunrise
